I was passing by on the Luas today and I noticed that Cafe Mes Ami right beside the Jervis St stop looks to be closed. Does any one know if it is permanently closed or just doing a refurbishment.

To be honest, it looks like its for good because signage is gone too. It would be a shame, I've eaten there dozens of times - friendly service, consistently excellent cafe food at decent prices. Nice quaint feeling to it too. Shame to see it go, if that's the case.

Its closing and is re-opening as a sushi place.

Pity, Mes Amis was a nice spot as the OP said, and there's at least one sushi place within 30 seconds of there.
