if MODS thinks this is looking for legal advise I'm not, im just looking for a direction to find this piece of info. but if you feel that it has to be removed so be it.

anyone know where I can find the section where it says if you are in fear of your life or feel threatened by someone or corporation, I know its there somewhere in the law but cant find it anywhere online, even searched the law library.

    cheers

Can you expand on what the law covers?

Are you talking about "self-defence" in relation to an assault or murder charge ?

If you are in fear of your life or feel threatened, then . . . what?

Tells us what you think this section says. If you don't, we have no notion what you're looking for, and the chances that we can track it down for you are going to be small.

Threats to kill or cause serious harm. NFOAPA

5.—(1) A person who, without lawful excuse, makes to another a threat, by any means intending the other to believe it will be carried out, to kill or cause serious harm to that other or a third person shall be guilty of an offence,

    (2) A person guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable—

    (a) on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1,500 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both, or

    (b) on conviction on indictment to a fine or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years or to both.

Nothing to do with corporations though.

You might also be talking about harassment as per S. 10 of the NFOATPA - link - http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/1997/act/26/section/10/enacted/en/html#sec10

You could even be talking about civil law as where some party is threatening to take an action that might endanger your life like demolishing the house next door. In that case you might be talking about a quia timet type injunction.

OP, can you make up an "imagined" set of facts and post them as a theoretical problem ?
