It's probably covered somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

There's a bird outside my house who sings his heart out all night. I'm a bit concerned for him tbh, when does he sleep?
Is this normal? I've never really heard it before, is it the streetlights?

I've noticed that here recently but it's lots of birds and in full song.I posted about it on another thread when someone else mentioned it as well.I've never heard it before and thought it very strange tbh.

I've also came across this recently enough when I was finishing up in work around 1.30/2 am. The birds were busting out in full morning chorus. I found it very strange indeed

It's extremely common in urban areas at this time of year, due to street lighting. Usually Robins.

A couple of studies suggest it may do some harm, in that birds spend sleeping time in singing, but nothing is conclusive .

Would there be any reason that it would be more common this year as I've never heard it before and I've been here years? It sounds a bit weird hearing so many birds singing at 1_2am.

I'm not trying to be smart but it has been so common for years, it couldn't really be any more common this year.
