Birds generally sing in the night. The male birds sing to attract the female. I love birdsong.

Or else the end is truly nigh...

Means nothing till you have about a thousand Starlings doing maneuvers in the middle of the night, set off one and they set off all the rest roosting .

I noticed this too last night. Lots of birds singing around 2.30am in pitch darkness.
Apparently nightingales have always sang at night and it's street lighting confusing the other ones according to BBC news.

Did you get those fancy led street lights installed near you recently?

Zombies do a good impression of birdsong to entice the unwary outside.
They call it the 'Grub's up' call.
Only FAT living folks can hear it...me Granny done told me

I was outside a hotel having a fag listening to birdsong at 3am, or so I thought until I traced it to speakers hidden in the trees playing bird sounds.

Climb into the tree, sit next to their nests and start singing songs. See how they like it.

Do you have street lighting outside?

Robins, blackbirds, and some other birds, are known to sing day and night in suburban areas. I first noticed it about 10 years ago when I was walking with my then girlfriend home from a nightclub. It's quite a strange experience.
