Security of my NAS from the outside world

    Hello all,

Something that's been on my mind. NB - my tech knowledge is basic.

I've got a NAS setup at home currently. It's a WD MyCloud Mirror.

The NAS works really well but how secure is it from the outside world? I know it's accessible easily from MyCloud.com.

My basic knowledge is that WD use some DNS forwarding service that allows users establish VPN connectivity to the NAS.

How secure is all of this? Are there any associated risks?

    Thank you,
