Hi everyone I'm having a few problems in work which has me stressed. I've decided to leave and find work elsewhere as theirs no shortages in my line of worK.

Now I plan on handing in my resignation letter on Monday. I have to give 2week notice. But the following week I have the whole week booked off. So I'm wondering where do I stand? I plan on going away and he has already accepted the date which I am heading away over a month ago he has it marked on his calender.

Could he tell me I can't take them now? I get on very well with him it's only the last 2 days were things have gone sour and il say he will try to keep me on but I feel life's to short to be working in a place I don't want to work.

Basically out of the 2 weeks notice il be working the first and on holidays the 2nd.
    Happen to anyone else?

have you got the holiday time built up for the second week?

Is there a compelling reason to hand in your notice on Monday? If not and it was me I'd hand my notice in after I had my week off. I know a number of organisations that will not allow someone take leave if they are working their notice.

edit:missed the part where you mentioned two week notice, all given that shouldn't cause any issues, since your giving notice in advance thus employer should honor and credit/holiday pay due.

but depending on place if not sure could be better off holding for couple weeks.

I would put in that date and see how he reacts , but be willing to come back and work one more week after you return in line with your notice.

I get 1 and 3/4 holidays days per month, so yes if anything I will be owed half a days wage on holiday days (but I wont go looking for that obviously)

I honestly just want to leave the place, while I do get on with most people their, I find the work stressful and the demands to great considering I could get the same wage for less work in other places. Dont get me wrong its a nice place to work but while I'm young i'd like to change it up abit
So with that been said I'd like to have a new job their for me when I am back from my holidays.
Not to mention alot of stuff is micromanaged as well which is very annoying (not just me) everyone gets micromanaged by the boss even the managers, its like he trusts nobody...

Can't really hold it. and would rather just move on at this stage.

Ive had my holidays booked since January with him.
So he knows well in advanced
Basically I know I am kinda been a dick to him by giving him 2 weeks notice knowing I wont be their for the last week, but I can't do another 3-4 more weeks in that place, I'll lose me mind haha

Normally a contract specified that holidays dates are at the discretion of the employer. You could be in breach if you're employer objects. In practice there not a lot they can do bar delay your P45, but you'd be far better off just waiting until you come back. You'd have to balance the fact that you're leaving your notice period by but effectively giving two weeks working notice with the ability of your employer to impact you financially were you to have to cancel your holiday at the last minute.

You could email in your resignation while on holiday as there's nothing to say an employer can make you come back during them.

Just do the two you agreed in your contract one either side of your holidays.
