Ever visited anyone in prison?

    I am going to visit one of my best mates in prison. Seems strange but I said I would go as he has fallen out with his family and said I would.

    Have you ever visited anybody in prison? How was it - anything much happen during the visit? How do the guards treat you as a visitor?

    Were you allowed bring in anything for the person in prison - money/magazines/ cigarettes? I know you wouldn't be able to give anything to them but can you leave things for them?
