Shower Pump

Hi, I'm looking to install a shower pump to improve the water pressure for en-suite shower. The current setup is a gravity fed system with 15mm dedicated cold supply from CWT in attic and dedicated 15mm hot supply from separate connection off the HWC. Shower head is situated below the CWT so positive head pump required. The existing shower head is a standard size and plan to keep it.

From my research it seems that most pumps require 22mm feeds in and 22mm outlets and the recommendation seems to be for the 22mm outlets to run as close as possible to the shower mixer to get the best performance.

In my case the run from the pump to the shower would be 2 - 3 meters.

What would the opinions be on a 1.5 bar pump that requires 15mm fittings (reusing existing pipework) or a 2 bar pump and install new 22mm hot & cold feeds to the pump inlets reducing down from the 22mm flexi hose outlets from pump to the the existing 15mm pipework to shower?

Would the new pipework make a big difference in performance?

I think the 15mm piping (well half inch) will be fine. I doubt if you would be able to tell much difference. I have done a very similar project recently.
