Land Clearing Upper Dargle Road

    Hi there,

    Does anyone know what's possibly going to be built on the Dublin side of the Dargle Road - just opposite the temporary bridge to the floodplain (Slang). A lot of brush and trees have been cleared out and there's fencing around it also.

    I believe there was planning permission for a large apartment development there a few years ago - but not sure what the status is on it now. Or if it ever got passed.

    No real reason for asking other than nosiness!

    there doesn't seem to be any planning application for that site on Wicklow CCs website (assuming it's where I think it is)

    Currently the space will be empty from any buildings. However in a long term high density apartment buildings are planned.
