thermostat and im freezing

    hi. i have a really old fashioned thermostat. its a Perry electric. my water is way too hot, and the rads are luke warm. there is a dial in the hall at the top is 30, moving anti clockwise 20 then a dot then 15 then 10. i have it set above the dot at 20. the water is way too hot. i have bled the rads, what is a good setting ? (single mum)

    On older systems, the (room) thermostat operated only the pump, not the boiler.
    Hence loads of hot water if thermostat was turned down to low.
    Turn it up and see what happens.

    Forget the actual numbers as old thermostats get a bit worn and don't read accurate. But still work ok.
    Listen for a click when you turn it.
    Below click turnes off pump, above click switches on pump.
    Try 5-10° above click, radiator's should get hot, if not, you need a plumber.
