    Also buy a good quality record player, if you don't have already; doesn't have to be top of the range but something like the cheaper model Rega or others.

    Discogs is excellent for second-hand and niche stuff, plus there's a lot of large sellers trading on it. But if you're looking for reissues of mainstream stuff like Bowie then you don't need go go there. People overlook obvious retailers like Amazon but it's well stocked and you won't have to worry about reliability, packaging, etc. Tower also sell vinyl online. Juno Records is primarily aimed at electronic music but you'd be surprised at what they stock. The same with Boomkat, Honest Jon's, Red Eye Records and a lot of the various UK retailers.

    Like I said, Discogs is great. But if something goes wrong you're looking at making a claim through PayPal, whereas the big, commercial retailers are much easier to deal with.
