Solicitor went bankrupt after house purchase.

    Hello,

    I bought a house with a mortgage from the bank. Today I just knew that my solicitor firm was suspended and declared bankrupt.

    I just wonder what documents the solicitor usually keep for the house purchase or they send all documents to the bank ?
    Is there any consequence to my house purchase ? My house land registry seems not finished yet.

    As already advised, contact the Law Society. Another office usually takes over by arrangement with Society. There usually will be a public notice and circular to clients. Failing that Society will take over the files.

    Better not to speculate on identities here.
