Mods, there is a stupid typo in the headline, can't fix it - Should say

"Connections, finally see sense and retire Sole Power"

MoneyTree on the Betfair forum advised people to lay Sole Power in the Nunthorpe. He won. The bookies had him at 100/1 and it was probably higher on Betfair.
The hilarity kept us going for years, as did his advice to lay Grand national winner Mon Mome, also 100/1.

My 8-1 for the 2013 King's Stand was just as sweet.

His best race was his Nunthrope win in 2014

MoneyTree, now there is a blast from the past. Back in the day, the Betfair forum gave me some of the biggest laughs I have ever had. My favourite was the MoneySavingExpert thread where people thought that they had stumbled onto some free money formula by laying all selections on the correct goalscorer market in the football. I nearly wet myself when the idiots on MSE eventually realised that bets on players who don't play were voided, therefore exposing the MSE crowd to liabilities in the thousands.

As for Sole Power, a legend of a horse, but in reality it should have been retired long ago.

****ing hell, I remember that season MM albeit with a stone or so in hand in 3 miles around Chelt beating Star De Mohaison in a titanic battle to the line. Even though SDM was only back from injury he looked good and both were a distance clear of the rest of the field who were rated the same as MM.

Didn't smash in but I thought very game, looks ahead of handicapper and stays. Biggest odds winner I had, was amazed at the price

I have backed him in pretty much most of his 5f races on good ground since Meydan 2013 and have often put him up as my tip on this site :D
