Get one with 2 gears for more torque.

Many brands do, the cheapest versions of most brands often don't have it though

Lidl have a cheap one on Monday 6th. €40.

    http://www.lidl.ie/en/Offers.htm?action=showDetail&id=52358

You get what you pay for but it would be fine for occasional use.

When looking at the specifications how do U know if it has two gears ?

And what V should I jo hit 14.4v. UpwArds?

The specs will usually list if it has 2 gears.

Re the lidl drill, its probably fine for occasional use, their tools tend to be better than the cheap offerings from other diy stores

You dont usually get sets of bits anyway, so you'll need to pick up the appropriate accessories

It would be common enough to only get 1 battery, especially with the cheaper versions of brand tools. You could probably buy anither battery online for it, but it'll probably cost the same as the drill

Re power, it says max 16v, but i think thats marketing ****, it's most likely 14.4v, although I'm open to correction there.

Dunno what your last question was

You can't close the thread. Maybe come back when you get your drill and let others know what you think of it and if you'd recommend it.

They can be a bit expensive for a one off job. Better to buy a good screwdriver. One with a good handle and length will give you good pressure while working.

A screwdriver? In this day & age. Not a chance.
