    Hi All

As above, I have my NCT on Monday and my logbook still isn't here after 3 weeks. Whats the best thing to do??

PS I've done a search and can't find anything up to date ;)

    Thanks

So you don't have a log book because you bought the car recently, or was it lost?

Got one Done about 3 weeks ago, although old owner had sent off the log book, NCT still had his name on the system, when I brought the car for NCT a few days after buying it, had no issues at all, only asked for Driving licence, wasn't asked for the book.

Most places will just ask for the ID, if they even do that. It shouldn't be a problem without the logbook. Once the car is in for the test, the fee is paid and the person receiving the cert has ID, then all should be fine.

Even if they ask for the log book and you don't have it they will not refuse to test the car. Worst case they will not give you the pass cert until you come back with the log book. Realistically they won't ask for it, just your driver's license.

Perfect thanks for the replies. Car is a UK import is the only reason why. VRT, tax, insurance all in just not the log book...
