Dual monitors

In a computer with a HDMI, VGA and a Dual DVI how would you connect two monitors for digital transmission.? Can you get a HDMI adapter and plug two HDMI in to one. The Dual DVI is like the second one under heading Connector here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface#Cable_length

Are you outputting the same signal to both monitors or splitting across them?

Should be an option under Control Panel -> Display -> Change Display settings.

Look at Multiple Displays dropdown. You can Duplicate or extend the display in here.

If you have 2 monitors with VGA and HDMI for example. The pc should allow both to be connected and Windows should detect this.

Not if you want split display, no. Connect one monitor to hdmi and another to dvi using appropriate cable, you can then split the screens.

My pc is set up to 1920X1080 resolution. One screen driven off VGA and the other from DVI.

OP is looking for 'digital' solution. VGA is not digital.

    No problem :p

If the OP stipulated what the max resolutions the monitors are, it would remove some of the guesswork.

    The term HD is subjective...

VGA is not digital (you can see interference on it sometimes) - but it can actually handle HD resolution. 1920x1080 is no problem. Once you go above that tho VGA starts to have problems.

So OP stop worrying and just plug cables in.
