Contributory State Pension

    Quick question -

I have a scenario where one spouse is receiving a contributory state pension of approx. €320 which includes an increase for an adult dependant under 65 who is earning approx. €200 per week in employment. The spouse is turning 66 this year and will be in receipt of a contributory pension of approx. €215.

Question is does the first spouse still receive the adult dependent increase for the second spouse even after she is receiving her own contributory pension?

    Hope I explained myself properly.

    Thanks in advance.

No, once the spouse is in receipt of his or her own pension, the increase will cease

Hi, I am in receipt of SCP with my wife as Q.A
She will qualify in her own right next year, would she be better staying as Q A or getting her own pension.T.I.A.
