    Hi there,

I'm currently working in the service industry but I'm now looking to move back into an office based environment in a administration, accounts or customer service role. I have plenty of such experience but all from a number of years ago.

I have been using various job sites up until now, applying only to jobs advertised by companies rather then recruitment agencies but to date I've had no luck.

I now think that I should contact on or maybe two agencies but there are so many I don't know which ones I should use.

Could anybody recommend one that they have had a positive experience of.

    Thanks,

I found agents useless. So, by that, I'd apply to as many as possible to get as much exposure to possible positions.

Don't restrict yourself to just one or two.

Have always felt the same myself but desperate times and all that!

None of the agencies are on the employees side to be honest OP. I would just apply for the jobs regardless of whether they're advertised by company or agency.

Another piece of advice is that if you've been out of the office based environment for a while could you beef up your CV with any courses you've done or do a short course? It just makes your CV look more updated then.

I went from service back to office last year and it wasn't easy to find a job because people think your skills are out of date but I did a course and I think that helped.

Product Development & Innovation with DCU. It's not really that relevant to what I'm doing now but just updated my CV somewhat. Anything at all really would help depending on what you want to get into. Like a payroll course or Sage etc. Even online ones would count.
