How many pancakes have you eaten so far today?
I'm on my third and feel a little sick.

I got none. Was 2 busy making them for everyone else. My youngest had about 10 of them & just asked me "Any more?"

She has a severe disability but eating is no problem it seems :-)

I'm gonna make some soon. I always eat them as soon as they come out of the pan, so by the time I'm finished making them, it feels as if I didn't make any.

It's my favourite day of the year.

The missus always makes American style ones, but I've made proper Irish batter. Tempted not to say it and watch her struggle.

I had seven for the dinner. Mixture of toppings, few mugs of strong tea to wash them down.

Having mine tomorrow on account of having forgotten that it was Shrove Tuesday

    Making now.
Lemon and sugar on them, under the grill to let the lemon and sugar gel together and heat up.
Wash down with a pint of milk.
    Lovely.

I did Pancake Monday this year as I'm busy this evening. Had three but they were very thin and weren't massive so it was a nice amount. Had one with classic lemon juice and sugar and the remaining two with lemon juice and homemade apple butter. Delish. I don't like anything heavy on pancakes like Nutella and I don't like savoury pancakes. I also prefer flat pancakes to American-style ones.

I've had a 9 inch pancake accompanied by a juicy steak and a soft fried egg, I'm packed.

I'm after eating all the pancakes :o

Half with traditional lemon and sugar, the rest with actual maple syrup that I was embarrassingly excited about finding in the shop last week.

Had the protein pancakes this morning with some Walden Farms and bananas. Going for proper ones later. Hadn't planned on having a cheat meal on a Tuesday but one can't refuse the offer of food from a woman, whether it's mammy or someone you want to ride.

    None. Won't have any either.

But we have them every Sunday morning anyway.

If you're still stuffed from the 12 you had a few years ago why are you surprised at people becoming stuffed from just 4 :p

This was not my finest hour. She was halfway through cooking the batch when I came downstairs. Thick, stodgy and doughey does not a good pancake make.

About to have a feast of them; sugar and lemon; yum.

It was this thread that made me get up off me ar*e and make a few. Just had two massive ones there slathered with nutella.

If I had a euro for every time I said "the diet starts tomorrow".

Just had five. Sugar and lemon on the first nutella on the rest.
