Car wouldn't start due to fuel pump, when I hit the fuel pump and turn the key it works, any got an idea how much this would cost?

It doesn't appear you will fix this yourself so I have moved it out from DIY to main forum for recommendations of mechanics.

    What is your location?

The fuel tank needs to be dropped and pump swapped out that way. The straps can be rusty and often cause problems trying to remove them from the tank.
I done this myself there a few months ago. I basically used a dremel tool to cut into the rear bench for access to top of the tank, and was able to remove the pump that way.

I got a pump from micks garage from about €60 and spent maybe 2 hours tool and cutting time. I'd expect a garage to charge around the €200 mark. It's definately not a diy job if your anyway doubtful about it.
There's a lot of pressure in the lines and fuel vapours to consider.
