    Hi all,

Looking for tips on new car protection. Looks like I will be getting a brand new car through work.

I've never had a new car before. I have some (dwindling) supplies received from Detailing Shed.

I have fallout remover, tar cleaner, a clay bar, polish and collinite wax.

I need foam, a new mitt, a new towel and probably wheel woolies. Any other suggestions?

Also Curran - any Bilt Hamber 5l foam in stock?

Any deals coming up soon - a Spring Clean promotion maybe ;)

Bilt Hamber Auto Foam is enroute...expect it on Thursday / Friday.

I'm sure we can look after you if you're buying a few bits...shoot me an email with your lost when you are pulling the trigger!!

Other suggestions... tyre dressing / glass cleaner / interior bits?

The usual advice of not letting the dealer touch the car when it arrives applies.

    @Curran

Quick update- getting my car in 2 weeks :D

I'll do an inventory at the weekend and send you a pm.

Please keep a set of wheel woolies and a 5l foam aside from me and I'll pm you the rest of the list :pac:

New 318D Sport - Mediterranean Blue.

Not my wallet though - a company car!! First new car ever though and pushing 50 years old!

Just sold my old 08 e90 - broke my heart. It was well looked after.

Do people keep a company car as good as their own? It will be interesting to see if the motivation is still there in 4 years.

    ooh.
    Very nice.

I was almost 50 when I got my first new car as well so "SNAP"

    Couple of Q's.
Mainly do you have a shed or garage to keep it in?
If so I would seriously consider treating it with carpro CQUK and carpro Dlux on the wheels and trim before it hits the road.
It make life so much easier maintaining it afterwards, while helping to avoid swirls.
Best of luck with ithe car.

Kept in the open air I'm afraid.

My detailing experience is limited to the standard 2 bucket, decontaminate, clay, wash, polish etc.:o

Shame you can borrow a shed garage for one night to keep it in.
CQUK is simple to apply, if you are capable of doing what you say then this is no different than applying wax or any lsp to be honest.
Just a little car is needed to buff it properly, but nothing Jope soap can't manage.

It honestly is worth the effort if you are going to be doing the miles.
