Hi. I've been in here before asking for advice about stoves and need some more before I make my next and hopefully final purchase. I installed an alpha inset boiler stove there about a year ago spending a lot of money in the process. It heats 6 rads OK if you keep it fed but I can't seem to get any descent heat to the room. After the last cold spell I really just wanted a warm sitting room didn't really care about upstairs as I wasn't sitting there for hours. So I've decided to take it out and put in a dry inset stove as I don't have the room for a free standing one. I've noticed lately in other peoples houses too if you can't keep a boiler stove going all the time there a bit of a waste of time as when you get in from work and start a fire by the time there up any running properly can be a few hours then then water coming back is constantly cooling the stove so never gives much heat to the room. Two family members have the stovax 40 and 66 and there heating the room inside 20 mins, don't get cool that easy and give out serious heat well from what I'm used to anyway. Because of the size of my opening from the alpha that's there I'm leaning towards a Henley a chill 6.6 kW. Clear view vision 500 has great reviews. Has anyone on here had experiences with these or maybe a similar inset convector stove that works or that just gives out any heat as the one I have gives basically none. Advice would be appreciated as I'd like my next move to be the right one. Thanks in advance
