Not sure if this is travel or USA, mods feel free to move!
I will have 2 days travel between New Orleans and Orlando, is there anywhere interesting to see?
I think it could be done with only one overnight, but if there's anything worth seeing I don't mind doing two!

    Are you thinking of driving?

We drove from Orlando to New Orleans once, stopping off for a few days in Pensacola. The drive from Orlando to Pensacola is dull enough. The Naval Aviation museum there is good. Also lots of authentic BBQ joints between Pensacola and New Orleans.

Would I do it again? No

Yea, we are driving, not sure of the route though. I haven't really seen anything interesting myself but was hoping maybe I was missing something!
Could you do the drive with just one overnight? Maybe just get to Florida a day early?

There are some gorgeous beaches along the Florida Panhandle Coast, if you feel like some beach time. They cater largely to residents of the southern states, so they have a totally different (the uncharitible would call it redneck :P ) vibe to them, than the beaches on the east and west coasts, that cater to overseas tourists and snowbirds. The Florida Panhandle doesn't get the hot winter temps that the beaches further south get, so that won't really be an option in winter.

Biloxi could be an interesting place to overnight in. Stay in one of the larger resort hotels and check out the casinos. It's also a big live music venue, so see if any decent concerts may be on there, when you are passing through. Biloxi fancies itself as a mini Vegas. It is tacky as hell, but it can be a fun overnight visit, if you are just passing through.

You could go a bit out if the way and head to the east coast of Florida and stay in St Augustine, it's a beautiful town and could easily stay a night or two there. Its maybe a two hour drive to Orlando, can't fully remember. We thought about doing this drive a few years ago and decided in the end to get a cheap Southwest flight. Nothing was really standing out to justify two nights on the road, time could be better spent elsewhere.

I'd definitely recommend Pensacola Beach. Beautiful beaches and lots of great restaurants/bars. I've often done the drive from Pensacola to Orlando - it's a bit boring unless you go a (longer) scenic route.

We stopped at Santa Rosa beach on our way to New Orleans - absolutely fabulous. Wish we had stayed longer. We stayed at the Watercolor Inn which is a gorgeous resort in walking distance to shops and a restaurants
