Ulster try, Chris Henry. Converted by Pienaar. 0-7.

    Disgraceful

You expecting better from the hosts?

    Try #2. Pienaar.

    Great counter try from Ulster.

Lovely offload from Stockdale, great pace from Piutau and supporting line from Pienaar.

Actually I was referring to the Ulster performance having not scored. I understand that they have since upped their game slightly.

    Zebre try...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,697 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    That's fairly embarrassing.

Whenever I watch Luke Marshall he always seems to make one howler per game.

Jaysus then Nelson kicks out on the full from the restart.

    Think it was Pienaar

    The pitch looks awful.

Zebre stuck a penalty over; 10-14 now.

    Olding try.

    Stockdale keeps improving his stock.

Wonder if olding might get called up to ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 968 ✭✭✭Scythica

Zebre do the same as zebo there.

Had hever seen it happen before. Thought lineout would be preferable

it's weird to see such a stupid mistake twice in two days

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,874 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Try Stockdale. Too powerful that close to the line at pace.

Better second half performance so far

    Easy line.

    Stockdale try

Whats the thoughts on ulsters kit? Hadnt actually seen the blue one this season, cant decide if i like it or not

7 tries this season for Stockdale. The commentator said he is joint top in the league.

Not bad considering he isn't 21 for a other two months.

Is there any reason why he's not in the u20s team then?

Assuming 20 year olds are allowed in..

(Maybe he is - ive been ignorant of the underage teams of late)

Not sure about his eligibility but the provinces have first call on underage players during u20 six nations.

Marshall comes on. First pass and the receiver has to reach above his head for it. Second pass and the receiver has to lift it from his ankles.

    Nice moment for David Busby

    40-17

    He is too old.

I think you have to be under 20 on 1st Jan.

He really has the full range of skills. Extraordinary.

Pretty meh stuff. Ulster were pretty sloppy and yet won by 40 points. I think it shows just how bad Zebre are.
On the plus side Payne is back and had some nice touches. Stockdale continues to impress. Busby scored on his debut. Treadwell had a good cameo making more metres than any Ulster second row since Dan Tuohy was in his pomp and most importantly there were no obvious injuries.

But they will have to improve come the last 5 games.

Ulster were Keystone Cops bad. Almost to a man they are too soft mentally. The difference between most and Piutau and Pienaar is shocking. No killer instinct. No desire to 'destroy' opponents. Treadwell seems to be an exception. I feel he is going to be a serious operator. He's big, fast and brutal.

A nod to some of the Zebre guys. They played well at times.

We always seem to struggle away to Italian teams.

Job done even if not pretty at times. 10 points from next 2 matches at home and we're pressing up on Scarlets in 4th. In fact if Leinster beat them and we get a full house against both Italian sides then we're ahead of them. Much improvement needed though for final run in for if we play like that away to Ospreys or Munster we'll get mullered.
