    Hi all,

I am looking to get a new kitchen . I have been to c+c kitchens and tierneys . The quote bewteen the two is 3k with c+c being the cheapest if I use tierneys a quote for their mid range kitchen ( not sure what that means only not solid wood and the didn't seem to have a low range one )

Of course now I'm wondering is the cash and carry quote for a low range kitchen ? As in is the the quality inferior . I looked at the quote and it says pvc - but the tierney website also says pvc so I'm very confused . I want to make sure I don't get the material the peels . Anyway as you can see I am not very in the know from a technical housey side . I just want the prettiest kitchen of good quality for the cheapest price !

    Can anybody offer advice please?

    Thanks

I'd go to a few more places! I got a kitchen a few years ago, and found the quote from c&c to be on the more expensive end of the scale. I'm assuming you're in Dublin (I'm not), and I know it might be harder to find smaller operators, but I found that the kitchen companies that werent maintaining and staffing large showrooms were more competitive on price. The thing with these is that you need to get recommendations.
I ended up getting a solid wood kitchen for only a couple of hundred euro more than c&c were quoting for laminate.

There's some great quality laminate kitchens to be had though, and I may yet regret getting solid... I'll never have an excuse to get rid of it!

    avoid C n C.
I needed remedial work done after a new kitchen install and they ignored calls and no fitter would attend.

Give Fitzgerald Kitchens in Dun Laoghaire a call and see what they come up with. For me they were about €2k cheaper than Nolans for pretty much the same kitchen - Farrow and Ball hand painted kitchen, quartz worktop etc.
