    Hello all,

I'd like to install a dishwasher in my apartment, but I have a water heating tank under the sink. It's a pile of crap, doesn't heat the water for long so I end up washing dishes in either cold water from the tap or boiling water from the kettle *sigh*. Any thoughts anyone? Do I need to change to a a tankless water heater?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I have one of these: http://www.strom-electrical.com/product/instant-water-tap/ after removing an old hot water cylinder that was in the way. It works alright for washing dishes - give it 10 seconds and it is up to a reasonable temperature,

I bought the stainless steel tap head one, but in retrospect I would buy the cheaper plastic one were I buying again - the stainless steel takes a while to heat up, leading to a heat up delay for the water given out.

You could connect to the water heater power supply, and have space for the dishwasher?

Not quite sure what you are asking.
Do you need to remove the heater to fit the dishwasher in?
Are you looking for advice in relation to replacing the water heater?
What are you hoping to end up with, a dishwasher and water heater in a different location?
Can you post photos of the heater/location

I'd like to change the water tank system situation if possible in order to have hot water all the time and then I'd like to get a dishwasher installed. I'm just not sure how complicated changing the water tank would be. I'm also assuming the best place for the dishwasher is under the sink so I'd have to get rid of the tank... my knowledge in this area is shocking :( Thanks

If working properly that heater should provide plenty of water for washing dishes etc. By any chance does it provide hot water to the bathroom as well?

If fitting a dishwasher it will not fit under the sink bowl so you will not have to worry about moving or getting rid of a water heater in that location
