Had a small bet on Hidden Impact in the Chepstow Bumper.

Came 2nd to Carter McKay in a point to point.

    3/1 BetVictor

Haha pretty sure you can rename it. Best of luck with your selection. Time to boost the Cheltenham kitty.

Presenting Percy would need to go close today to go up a few lbs for the Pertemps final.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

Think Fingerontheswitch is still a bit ahead of the handicapper in the 3.35 Kempton. Good hurdle form was rated in the 130s and is now on 132 over fences. Others in the race may have there eye on Cheltenham. If the ground stays decent I think hes value at 10/1.

Viva steve 8/1 3-45 kemp got a chance good jockey booking

i backed That's a wrap in that race. Would prob need to win to get in to Punchestown Handicap I think.

    4/1.

Might do a tiny combo tricast with Sure Reef and Presenting Percy as well :)

Absolute Blast @ 8/1 a huge price in the 3:15. Shown gobs and gobs of improvement since I tipped it in January where it was smashed in on the betting. Would have won last time out as well but started awfully, but even still it nearly managed to win. Jockey Oisin Murphy been on fire this year, so hoping everything aligns nicely for this one.

Kempton 3:35 - Cocktails At Dawn has been a very hot and cold horse to follow. Had a seasonal debut there at Aintree at December which was probably too hot for it while on softish ground that didn't suit either. Dropped 5lb for that, it's now off the same mark where it won at last. I think this one either comes nowhere, or will jump brilliantly and get into a very nice rhythm, so win only bet at 25/1 for me.

Not really a big place laying bettor, but can't help but take on Dicosimo in the 4:05 at 1.28 on Betfair. How many chances has this horse had at this stage? I can't help but thinking a beginners chase over heavy going is desperation in trying to find a race for the horse.

Might end up with egg on me puss but river wylde looks interesting in the 3 o clock at kempton

Posted on wrong thread. Really looking forward to Charli pacs here. Segal (raving about him on some podcast) thinks he wins the supreme so I want to see today something really special -

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

Well that's him out. Jumped really badly. Impressive winner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,784 ✭✭✭Motivator

Surely Dinaria Des Obeaux gets the race there? Davy Russell took Coopera ground & Cooper had to stop riding. Closed right back up at the end. Surely reversal of placings?

Not sure if Charli Parks was gong to win there...disappointing either way. Winner did it quite well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,925 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Regardless of the result, I thought Cooper was poor. You wouldn't see Ruby being bullied into the rail like that.

Bullied? Watch it again, Davy Russell robbed his ground. Nothing about being bullied. What would Ruby do? Get off and wrestle the horse back into line? 🙄

Charli very disappointing. Triumph or nowhere now I'd guess. Wouldn't threaten Hobbs horse based on that.

Placings reversed and rightly so. Dinaria Des Obeaux was 5.6 to get the race immediately after it on Betfair. The layers got that very badly wrong.

Wouldn't be surprised if he missed Cheltenham now.

I doubt Russell would have even tried that with Ruby, but if he did, I think Ruby would have kept his ground and taken a bump rather than be forced into the rail and then made switch.

The fella nearly lost his leg a couple of years ago. Really like Cooper. Hope he shuts up the critics like he did last year when he won the GC

Yeah, a lot of people think he's useless etc. but can't seem to understand that he can't be useless as he has the top job in Irish racing.

funnily enough i wouldn't write him off yet. i was impressed with his response after a tough passage . could be suited by triumph.

Peter the Mayo Man 13-2 3.00

    Theatre Guide 10-1 3.35

I like these for a EW double and singles

    4 places PP for 3.35

Nutting (ATR) put up the 20/1 winner on Monday, along with the 3rd pl.
He also has DOUBLE SHUFFLE mentioned in his ante-post focus, coming up in 20mins.
Seen 'Viva Steve' mentioned somewhere else, so will have it 4pl also, on the array of e/w accumulators.

Fancy some SoupySoups @8.5 W/O around 5mins after this at 15:40 Cheapstow.
Meanwhile over in stick ball (golf), hoping Wesley Bryan will start well again in R3.

    Not for Burning 25-1 3.30

Likes it around here. Good record , especially over this trip
I like it EW at 25-1

Ruby made no effort to win that. He's such a wanker.

Does Dicosimo have any potential big races coming?

Horse is a complete dog, although wasnt to win today the plan was for Davy to win in a choreographed race but fell, good to see a trier win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,553 ✭✭✭✭Copper_pipe

    Handicap at Fairyhouse maybe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Shemale

Patrick Mullins is some man, was watching the bumper and Fulham Road was running all over Empire Burleque, pulling for his head turning in. Instead of at any stage pulling the horse out and giving him some more rein he does the usual wait until the furlong marker and look like he is playing twister on a trampoline on the horses back.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭Gamebred

He is clueless unless he makes the running trys to play jockey being cute, dont work against proper riders like Codd, change jockeys change result.

Soldier of Fortune has had a couple of lovely bumper winners recently. The one that just won at Chepstow could be very smart(half brother to Let's Dance).

    Possibly out of Cheltenham?

Major jumbo is well ahead of the handicapper
He got a terrible ride off the claimer and still won readily.

Fulham road had every chance simply not good enough been off the track 1,100 days+, 7yr Old tells you all you need.

Hope Codd wins the championship this year the fact paddy has had a by each year in it is horrific he's so average it defies belief. Codd would have a top job if he were a pro

He was beaten under a length and a different jockey could easily make that up, for me he looked the better of the two that fought out the finish.

Horse not good enough. He had plenty of time to pass it. Pocket talk?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭Gamebred

That the stats produced by someone there not long ago were proof Paddy riding from the front has a much higher strike rate, he goes from cruising to all out drive when coming from behind, poor effort today imo and am not talking from my pocket.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

Doubt that horse is anything what he was meant to be when bought. That was a Mickey mouse 5 runner race . He spent the last furlong trying to pass the winner, and couldn't. End. Of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

Let's find some winners for tomorrow.

Hopes to be back for Cheltenham
