Recently I've found that my boost isn't performing as it should.

When I put the foot down, the revs increase as expected but there is no corresponding increase in acceleration, or if there is, it is quite sluggish compared to how it used to be. I've also noticed a drop in the cars fuel economy.

I think it's possible I overloaded the car for a recent long drive and popped the turbo intake hose?

Would anyone know if this is a quick fix before I fork out to get it looked at?

This sounds like a slipping clutch but hopefully is only a busted hose or similar.
Tbh, you need a mech to look at it and rule diff things out.

    +1.

If revs are increasing and the speed is not, your clutch is starting to slip.

    Quick test.

Park the car, put into 5th gear, rev it to 3k, brake pedal pressed hard, quickly release the clutch. The engine should cut out immediately.

    Sugar.
Will give it a go after work.

What causes the clutch to slip?

    Various things can cause it.
Did you have work done on any engine/transmission components?
    How old is car?

What until you have a proper mechanic's diagnosis before you despair :)

Haven't had any work done and the car is only 2011.

At long last, It's been put to bed.

Clutch was gone and unfortunately, the garage couldn't explain how in any detail, beyond 'human error'. At the same time though, they agreed that if it was down to my driving, it should be a more frequent problem.

    Expensive lesson to learn.
