    If you have basic DIY skills, the 'stat is easily replaced, about €12 from your local plumbing supplier, bring the old one with you as there is 2 types.

    Agree here: It's no more complected than changing a plug. Obviously power gets turned off first

    Pay extra attention to integrity of terminal connection here.
    Heavy load and sparking an melting / fire risk may not be picked up on due to nature and location of appliance.
