Fixing to externally insulated house

    Hello,

I have search around and though this might be a common issue but cannot seem to get an answer. What is the best way to fix both relatively heavy items such as hanging baskets and light items like wiring to an externally insulated house? It's normal external insulation with foam insulation, mesh and render. Would my best option be to use a long nail and rawl plug to reach the masonry wall? How can I ensure that the insulation is undamaged and sealed properly?

    Thx!

safest option is the masonary drill bit right into existing wall behind insulation

you can coat your raw plug with silicone to help protect and water seal
