Does this curbing repair looks right?

    Hi,

Few weeks ago delivery truck damaged driveway curbing, tarmac and lawn at my home.

Today contractor came to fix the curbing in preparation for tarmac fixing in few days.

He reused our block for repair (which I am fine with) but he cut them instead of just reusing them in exactly same order as they were originally laid (which I am not fine with).

But most importantly he used, what looks like, excessive amount of concrete in between the blocks. I have never seen anything like it. It looks really bad. Will this blend in next few weeks (not really interested if it blends in in next 10 years)? Is this the way it is supposed to be done?

Interested in your opinions :). Thanks!

Yes it's fine. It's concrete. In a concrete kerb.

Looks manky to me. Can you post pics of the rest of the original kerbing to see if it is similar?

Looks awful. It's almost like they were trying to stretch out the blocks to make them fit, if you know what I mean.

Have you a close up of the cement joint.

There must be a reason why they cut them. Why do it otherwise.
    We're they broken

Nothing wrong with them apart from the look. Depends on how much you paid to have them installed. If it was a race to the bottom then only yourself to blame. I see this alot. People getting work done, telling everyone who calls to price that they'll get it if they beat the last quote. They get work done and not happy with the final look.

looks like the client bought broken or was give off cuts. Got someone to lay them and not happy with final look. I cant see why anyone would get handed full length kerbs and cut them like this on a straight run.

I thought the delivery Co were paying.
If a truck damaged the lawn and tarmac then it must be big enough to break all the kerbs.

Probably just squared up the ends

That is a disgrace. New line of kerbs needed there.
