Starting a side business to PAYE job

    Im half considering this, but i would like to know if I lose my PAYE tax credit if i start up a sole trader business?

    No, as long as you still have the PAYE job.

    Just another quick one, if i buy products for resale from China for example, and the customs/an post dont apply customs charges to it, is there a way of paying the appropriate tax? As i would want everything to be above board!

    Theres always a way to pay appropriate tax.

    Note that you don't get a self employed tax credit if you get the paye tax credit.
