Hi I'm getting imagine lte fitted tomorrow in my business.

However, their fitters have been out and tell me that they need to fit a poll/mast 15 foot up above the top of my building, which is already about 20 foot high.

We are also on a hill.

They tell me because of trees/hills the signal is not good enough so need the poll.

However, a computer tech has since told me they are probably using me as a mast for other locals to get a good connection, and would often pay people for letting them do such a thing

Anyone have any thoughts, or anyone asked by imagine to fit one of these polls???

They'd have to be up-front with you about that and may even need planning permission. So I personally don't believe what the tech has told you.

They tried a 10 ft pole at my house just to get a signal. Definitely not trying to use me as a mast where I am :)

    *Pole

Its 3.6Ghz, it attenuates heavily in anything other than air. Getting elevation is the normal way to do this.

If you want to test, get up on a ladder to the gable height and see if you can see their mast. If not, its probably legitimate.

3m is not insignificant so do check your planning obligations.
