I was looking at buying a 2016 i30 diesel in northern Ireland but my question is would the 5 year warranty transfer to here or would I have to go up the north every time I needed a service, anyone have any experience with this?

Warranty is transferable afaik. Just be aware that to avoid paying VAT as well as VRT the car needs to be more than 6 months old with more than 6000 km on the clock.
