Monitoring and retaining Site Notice

Physical retention with cable ties where there is a gate and laminated is a must.

But, for the five weeks, and excluding using a monitoring company, how often should one inspect - weekly? Anybody had experience of invalidation where their site notice was ripped down or of working in an area where notice had to be monitored frequently -a potential objector could remove under cover of darkness!! I suppose for the sake of client satisfaction it is a good idea to at least photo with time and date any visit for that purpose. Obviously if the client is living at the site or nearby he could do this himself.
    All thoughts and info welcomed.

I remember a great post from Angry Bird (I think) on this forum about exactly this issue.

I'm afraid I can't recall the specifics but it was good advice regarding a reasonable way to deal with constant removal that planners (in some areas anyway) would consider acceptable.

Can't find it from the phone I'm afraid.

If its is constantly been removed, take photos and report to Gardai.
Get pulse reference number and send a letter with this info directly to the planner with the photos.

They may arrange the site visit with you and/or just accept the letter and not declare invalidation.

I usually put the onus on the house owner to monitor the notice and give them some laminated copies and to call you if they have to be used.

Well aside from sleeping beside the thing night and day with a gun, take photo of when it was erected, with the day's newspaper notice showing the date, send it in with application. If problems re it being taken down, garda complaint number, pictures, send to council who will probably seek to inspect it promptly. Or is you're nice like me, i'll be out in the afternoon on a specified day.
