Have a small meadow largely overgrown with rushes was thinking on mulchin it now letting it lie for a few days and fertilising with 10-10-20 with a mix off granular lime aswell.... any thoughts if this is the right way or wrong way or just in the wrong order? Thanks

You should leave a week or two between the fert and lime to get best results.
I would then follow up after 6 weeks with mcpa.

So mulch then fertiliser then lime and spray after that

I would probably lime first to balance ph and fert would be better utilised.

Would the ground get the lime if it's just after being mulched might just lie on the mulched rushes no?

I have used gromax with good results over the last few years and I'd say put it out before mulching. It needs to be in contact with the ground to start working. Then put the 10-10-20 out 2 weeks after mulching.

If you plan on keeping it as a meadow this year don't lime it, gone too late, liming now will keep alkaline levels high in the silage and it will rot, lime in the back end of the year for meadows
