Samsung Galaxy suddenly cannot make calls (vodafone)

    Sorry wrong forum but mini emergency. Phone stopped working and only emergency calls allowed all of a sudden, was working fine earlier.

    Can anyone advise what i can do to fix this

    Tried restarting phone. Vodafone support is down too so if anyone knows what to do, i owe them a pint

    Go to settings scroll down to About Device select status select Sim card status and see what it says about signal etc. Might give a clue to what's wrong.
    I had no phone or data signal (vodafone) for nearly 36 hrs from Friday night till yesterday. Emergency calls only up on screen most of that time.

    I heard steeping it in a salt solution overnight is good for this kind of problem. I think the water should be tepid and not hot or it will melt the buttons.
