I bought a second hand one last autumn. I only use it for chopping straw into cubicles and into calf sheds. Its worked on an MF 290 and no problem with power or ballast. Silage would be different. It came with a 540 pto and I wasn't impressed. we changed it to 1000 pto and its a different weapon now. It blows about 30ft into calf sheds at its best.
