Hitachi Ex130k-5

    Well lads hows it going, I'm in the market for a hitachi excavator, I just saw one on donedeal, its a hitachi EX130k-5. Iv never heard of this type of hitachi excavator before and was just wondering if anyone could give me a bit of information on them. I think its a 12 tonne machine but not certain on that, it looks like a clean tight machine but I just wasnt sure about the 130k-5. I wonder would it be hard to find parts for it when their needed and all that. Like I said it looks good but I just wasnt sure if its worth buying. Thanks

    She should be the same machine as the ex120-5 parts wise. The "K" stands for "demo spec" so you might have a heavier counterweight and hi-vis roof. That's the only real difference afaik. They're branded differently for other markets so it might be a jap import and that's why the numbers are strange. That might also mean that the controls in the cab are written in Japanese like some of the zx120 imports but I'm not 100% on that. Hope that helps
