So hopefully I don't get much bashing for driving a BKP engine Passat :p:p

Currently just about 130k miles on it.

So over the last while my passat has been giving me trouble. Can cut out randomly while driving at low speeds and will sometimes shudder up to about 2k rpm while under close to/full throttle.

Both the engine and coil light are on and I am getting fault codes p2100 & p3102.

These fault codes seem to be related to the throttle body/egr valve.

So we checked the egr and while it was a bit gunky no signs of any issues.

Throttle body was only replaced about 7k miles ago and seems to also be in good working order.

All 4 injectors and the injector loom have been replaced within the last 15k miles.

Have checked all related fuses and relays but again everything seems to be in working order.

Just by chance when I started checking wiring throughout the engine bay (with the engine running) for any signs or corrosion/splits, I noticed a connection that seems to plug into the right hand side of the engine. I brushed off it and the engine cut out straight away.

Tried to start the car again but would only turn over. So I went back to this connection (the wiring does seem to be cut/frayed in spots) and fiddled with the wiring and low and behold the car fired up 1st thing. While it was still running I moved the wiring again(don't try this at home kids :D ) and the wires sparked and the engine cut out again.

So finally I seemed to have found the root of the problem. Now my main question from all of this is can anyone tell me the name or some description of this connection so I can get a new one ordered if possible.

The connection is just beside the oil pump? on the right side of the engine block.
I've attached a photo to help in the look/location of this connection.

Fairly sure that's the plug to the injector loom under valve cover
