First smartphone

Going to take the jump from the Stone Age and get myself a smartphone presumably Android which I had to look up find out what that was.
I need to run a few apps like heard Plus to make life easier decent sat nav would be great as well so doesn't really need that much storage or processing power

Now for the problems it needs to be tough to be honest extremely tough hopefully between 1 and 200 euros absolute top of budget and pick up 3 and 4G
At the moment I am on pay as you go with no data allowance with Vodafone as they have the best reception in the area
Not sure how to get a data allowance but can probably figure that out.


might even try going into Vodafone shop and seeing if I can get an upgrade not sure if you can get one for pay as you go as I have always just bought a new phone when the old one stopped working it is registered with them.
any advice recommendations on phones would be very helpful

This is your phone. I don't have one myself but it appears to be the best phone in it's price range from all accounts.

I don't think there is any 'extremely tough' phone but what you can do is get case for it.

I've never heard of getting an upgrade on PAYG but I could be wrong.

Edit: The previous version of the Moto G is still available and it's not as big as the 4th Generation model. 5.5 " vs 5".

The main reason was the fact that it is waterproof which really would be a necessity where it will be getting used outside besides that isn't a bad price either. and there seems to be some good quality covers and screen protectors for this phone as well

Yeah that's the previous version of the Moto G I alluded too only that one is cheaper than the one I linked too. Really good price and in fact I've heard some say the previous version is preferable to the latest version.

Looks like it's going to be that one I really like the price and should be adequate for what I need it's a return from the cancelled contract so hopefully it will be fine

That kickstand one you linked too, the first one, is not for your model. The 'G4 play' is a lesser model.
