    Probably not a big issue here as VM don't issue FritzBox modems, but across Europe, it might be a little concerning.

    Digiweb issues them.

    From what I read the issue is more for the ISP rather than the end user.

    I didn't think Digiweb did cable, but yeah it is an ISP problem.

    They don't. They only use them on their fibre offerings. Their Metro product however uses the Thompson TWG870 cable modem/router.
