PRSI ER extra on my payslip.

    Hello,

    Anyone knows what is PRSI ER and why am I paying about 60 euros more every week?

    I did ask my employer about it and they said its not their fault and they have nothing to do with it?

    That's employer prsi,your company pays it and makes a note of it on your payslip.

    PRSI ER shouldn't actually be deducted.
    The amount should just be noted on your payslip, your employer should be paying it.

    PRSI EE is what you pay.

    If you paying 60e prsi weekly you must be on 1500e a week

    Have you actually added up all the deductions on your payslip(including prsi ER) and taken it away from your gross?

    You havent paid €60 extra, that is an employer deduction and on your payslip for reference. If you do the maths on it, you will see this.

    Employers PRSI is paid by your employer and should not reduce your take home pay as it is separate. If you are earning above €376 per week your employer pays 10.75%.
    On your payslip you should see 3 amount prsiee which is what you pay and should be 4% prsi ee which is what the employer pays and their is also a total amount

    Gross Pay
    -PAYE
    -USC
    -EE PRSI
    =Net Pay

    ER PRSI is paid by your employer above your gross pay and you are told for reference. You aren't paying this unless you made a deal with your employer that you will be paid based on total cost to employer.
