Upon receiving the award the Elvis impersonator said: "Thank you very much!"

It would have been cheaper to get one of his buddies to shoot the bloke.

He really is a piece of work, never seen him play a game only read about his or his family's dysfunctional carry on.

He wasn't that badly injured although I did hear he was all shook up.

Stokes didn't apologise, but his lawyers did on his behalf. The Elvis impersonator told them "return to sender."

Hypothetically, if an elvis impersonator head butted a footballer would we still be talking about £230,000?

Couple of mates played football with and against Stokes before he went to Arsenal and they said even back then he thought he was the shït and a bit of dick.

Met him twice, once in Sunderland (about 2007) and once in Edinburugh (last year) and he was dead sound both times.

Im not going to defend what he did but total OTT reaction as usual.

Over the top reaction?! You obviously don't know of him so.

230k for headbutt. Scummy thing to do but 2 sides to the story by all accounts.

So you're saying that it is one of those suspicious fines?

Possibly. That's the great thing about Court, you get to turn up with your lawyers and tell your side.

    Apparently he didn't...

It's a tricky subject at the best of times, but on the flip side, if these things weren't means tested in some way, what would serve as a crime deterrent to rich people other than prison?
