Will be holidaying in Carvoeiro in July and looking to play three rounds while there. Below are details of some of the nearest courses plus green fees for two including buggy. Has anyone recommendations on courses to play or avoid? Thanks.

    Gramacho €104
    Vale De Pinta €104
    Pestana Silves €93
    Alto Golf €93
    Penina Resort €100
    Salagados €110
    Morgado €83
    Almos €83

Those prices look very good. I played palmares, gramacho, vale de pinta and penina last May as part of a package . A buggy alone in penina was €48, €40 in the others. The golf per head averaged around €70.

I'd prefer gramacho to pinta, penina was better than both. Quiet an old style course. Palmares was my favourite. Fabulous new course with great views. If I was going there on a four day trip, I'd play it twice.

I played Palmares back in 2012 after it was redesigned. I played the 27 holes and really enjoyed it. It was very good value back then but think the prices have gone up since.

I'd agree with the thoughts on Palmares. Lovely course and worth the extra money. I'd also add in Boa Vista in Lagos. Tee shot on 13 is spectacular

Enjoy. Visited Carvoeiro in 2014, was only there for two days. No golf but we rented bikes and cycled to benegail beach where we rented kayaks and paddled to the cave. We got a lovely airbnb for great value in Carvoeiro right in the centre. My only experience of the algarve, would go back in a heartbeat.
