Sony Trini wide-screen RGB woes

I bought a 32" Sony Trinitron FD 100hz widescreen but the picture is pretty crap on my snes. Two of the scart sockets take rgb input, the 3rd doesn't. Tried all 3. The one that doesn't the picture is worse, but the two that do the picture is still pretty crap compared to previous crts I've had. The pixels are "shaking" and the colours are crap.

Any idea what might be wrong or are these FD screens just no good for retro gaming? I've only tried my snes with my rgb cable.

Edit: Just to add when I go into the RGB centering menu it's greyed out, so clearly the TV isn't detecting my snes as a RGB source.

Edit 2: For those who owns Trinitrons the icon for rgb is kind of an arrow inside of a square and 4 dots, but that doesn't appear. It should be something like -[>....] but it shows -[> ] meaning it's definitely not detecting a RGB source.

    Very frustrating :(

That shaking is dot crawl, combined with the crap colours means you're only seeing composite :(

It's detecting the RGB now, I've come to the conclusion the picture is just crap compared to my old 4:3 Trinitron.

Note to others, don't buy 100hz Trinitron widescreens.

Example, in SMK, as soon as you accelerate your player turns into a fuzzy blur like it would on a LCD, in SMW there's a tonne of pixelation and color bleeding.

Not to worry, I'll pick up another.

Oh jeez, my bad. I thought this was the main thread, sorry all!

Feel free to delete said posts.. I'm planning on recording some footage and making a separate thread. Sorry again
