Nixers and Tax

I'd like to take on a few nixers above board and as I'm already on the higher rate of tax, I assume that anything that I'd make off the nixers would be taxed at this rate? Im trying to figure out if it's be worth my while considering.

If I was to go ahead with it, the max I would be taking in would be maybe 8k a year.... Is it fairly straightforward to process the additional tax payable via the ROS? Last thing I'd need is to be paying someone to process my returns leaving me with little or nothing at the end of it!

Thanks for any advice or insight!

Yes its easy at that level.

Only gets complex if you get high enough revenue to be liable for VAT (somewhere northof 30k).

Just keep good records of your income and expenditure.
