A similar question was asked for Donegal on 12 November 2016.
Can you advise on the Infrastructure Levies in County Waterford, where a new house is to be connected to watermain and sewer.
No info is required on the cost of making the connection.

    Many thanks

    joebre

We're currently looking into this with the relevant department, and will contact you with an update as soon as possible.

    Kind regards,

One week later and hoping to hear from you !

I emailed directly and got this reply

"Thank you for your query regarding cost per square metre for residential development.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with this information at this time as these detail are calculated by the area engineer when they go out to the site to evaluate the cost for a new connection"

This reply makes no sense. I can imagine the Area Engineer having to calculate the cost of making the connection but my understanding is that development  charges are calculated on a square metre basis.
I am simply asking what is the rate per square metre, like was answered earlier in this thread.

    Hi joebre,

Apologies for our delay in response, as we were following up on your query with the relevant department.

Please find attached a document on the Development Contribution Scheme, from Waterford County Council, that details the contribution rates and development charges for all new connections.

Irish Water have been instructed by the CER to impose the charge regarding provisions for water & wastewater services relevant to each Local Authority development scheme in place on the 1st of January 2014, relating to all new connections.

I hope this information helps and if you have any future queries, please feel free to contact us.

    Kind regards,
    Alex
