automatic Megane problem

hi, bought a 2011 Renault Megane automatic 6 weeks ago. I paid €400 extra for a 3 month warranty on all parts. Last week the car was stuck in slow traffic for a while and when we reached the open road, it would go no faster than 20 mph and seemed like it was stuck in a low gear. I told the OH to pull over, switch off the car and restart it, this solved the problem and it hasn't happened since.

My worry is that if I bring it back to the dealer, they will find no problem with it, and everything will seem ok until another 3 months time when the issue will return to stay. What would be a good plan? Would a computer diagnostics spot the problem? If I get an official Renault report would the dealer be obliged to replace a faulty part, if there is one?

    thanks

Yes, get it diagnosed ASAP. By Renault or the dealer. Maybe dealer first and if you're not happy go to Renault for a 2nd opinion
