I'm in the market for a new/2nd hand fert spreader would prefer disc but would use wagtail if price and reliability was not an issue.Any make or model considered any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Would be only putting out around 6 ton of fert and year. The odd bit of granlime as well.

A good second hand Abbey wagtail is a great machine...I have one myself no complaints. A neighbour has one too and he also swears by them.

Abbey wagtail here as well from new, 12 yrs old now. Kept cleaned & greased & never a bother. Holds about 700kg. Dunno the model no, but can find out.
Spreads fert, clover seed, kale seed, grass seed, etc no bother.

Please do I'm looking at one 2nd hand 700kgs is the capacity would be very interested in your experiences with it.
Teagle s 1/2 ton disc spreader is also under consideration price and condition will be a big influence for whichever type is bought.

Have a amazone twin disk here. At least 25 years old and does 2 farms.
Steel hopper can take a knock unlike a fiberglass one

Had an amazone spreader here. I think it was a ZA-F model. Worked perfect and was accurate. A friend bought it and patched up the holes and is still spreading. The auld lad bought it new in the early 80's
